Our Leadership

I grew up in this business and it has been a joy heading up a financial services company that helps salt-of-the-earth people chase their dreams. My family is the 3rd owner of Reliabank and my father, Walter K. Johnson, was the second owner. Walt Johnson worked for twenty-four years for the founder of the bank before he was able to acquire the bank stock from an estate and was only able to enjoy ownership for eight years after that. My sons Reid and Ethan Johnson, have business degrees and are working for Reliabank in the Sioux Falls area. My wife Jan and I are enjoying life traveling and spending time with our grandsons.

President

Having worked in the banking industry since 2005, a passion I’ve come to share with Reliabank is a whole-hearted belief in the community banking model. At Reliabank, our dedicated team isn't just familiar with the local economy; we're deeply connected to it, emphasizing our integral role in fostering thriving, interconnected communities where we live, work, and volunteer. Funds are raised locally and invested right back into the communities we serve. Reliabank’s roots date back to 1920 in which time we’ve established that hometown customer service isn’t just a promise – it’s our legacy. To us, success is measured only by the success of our local economies and customers satisfaction.

Reliabank has been here for 100 years, and we hope you will choose to partner with us for the next 100 years.

Compliance Director

I joined Reliabank in 2019 because I truly believe in the value of community banking, which aligns with Reliabank as we are a family owned organization. Our employees live and work in the communities we serve, and our customers are our neighbors, friends, and small businesses. We support each other day in and day out not only through banking services, but also in our personal endeavors. A healthy main street in our communities means we are able to continue to serve our customers and invest back into the community, which only continues to make it stronger. There is nothing more rewarding then seeing our customers and our communities thrive! We work hard to ensure that we offer products and services relevant to our customers, and do so with local decision making and listening to our customers needs. We are grateful for all of our customers and communities, and we thank you for choosing to do your banking services with us!
